EL-Bİ Elektrik was founded under the name of Elbistan Hırdavat in 1987.
After 1993, Elbistan Hırdavat extended its product range to include electrical installation materials due to demands from international markets and it started manufacturing these materials in 1996.
Within 2 years, production capacity increased greatly along with export sales, evolved into a modern factory under dynamic management teams and company title was changed to EL-Bİ ELEKTRİK İTHALAT İ TİC. A.Ş. In May 2007, it has become EL-BI ELEKTRIK ULUSLAR ARASI TIC. VE SAN. A.S following a joint venture with Finnish partner Ahlström Capital in 2007.
